My Christmas Vacation 2009

We took a little Christmas Vacation to...

LAS VEGAS!

We got to sleep at the famous MGM Grand. We stayed on floor 28.

Me, Conner, Garrett and Niel all got to see the BYU Bowl Game. It was freak'in cold. I guess it didn't help that I forgot to wear my socks and I also left my coat in the hotel room. Ops! The nice people behind us let me borrow their blanket.

We ate at the only In-and-Out in Vegas. Tasty.... and VERY crowded.

BYU played Nevada in the Basketball game. We also go to attend that while we were in Vegas. They played at The Orleans.

We got home from Vegas safe and sound.

Then... it was time for some Christmas Fun! We went to Aunt Elaines for dinner on Christmas Eve. I loved playing with Micky. She is so cute!

Santa brought me an MP3 Player. I was so stoked that I look so wierd in this picture.

I also got all the supplies for a fish. Santa left money for us to pick one up at the Pet store because it would die through all the travels from the North Pole.

But the best gift of all was my very own ping pong table from my Grandma. She is the best!

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.

My ancestor is Joseph Henry Dean. Joesph was born in England on October, 16 1855. He died November 2, 1947. His family left England when he was four years old. It took them 3 months to cross the plains by ox team and wagon to get to Salt Lake City, Utah. He had 2 wives, Sarah Arnold and Florence Ridges. Each wife had 11 children which made him a father of 22 children! Only 15 of those children made it to adulthood. Joseph went to jail for polygamy. He served 6 months in jail. Some of the most important things he did in his life were serving 3 missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He is known for his great missionary work in Samoa. He was the first missionary in Samoa. He served two missions in Samoa and one mission on the Hawaiian Islands. He was a Carpenter for most of his life. He was a stone cutter for the Salt Lake City Temple and later served as the custodian for the Salt Lake City Temple. He worked along side Heber J. Grant and Joseph F. Smith. Joseph H. Dean also loved music. He is published in the LDS Hymn Book, #158 called Before Thee Lord, I Bow My Head. Joseph moved is family to Mancos, Colorado. That is where my Great Grandfather and my Grandpa are from.

This is another form of him for presentation

The one in the football jersey is Tanner H, then Ashley C. the one that loved and is good at doing the cake making. We each got a huge piece of cake because we were one man short. It was fun. End of Summer

This summer I got to do a lot of fun stuff!! We went to Seven Peaks a million times.... I felt like it at least.

Here are a few others things I did.

Bowling!!! Fun, even if I was in last place.

Building forts was a favorite event of mine this summer. I like making messes!!

We went to a few parades. At the Highland Parade I got to karate chop a board. I am so strong... don't mess with me!

Kallie's parents own Raging Waters!! They were SOOOOOO nice to let us come a few times! I like Raging Waters better than Seven Peaks.

It was a great summer!

We played boat tag. We shoot bbguns. We made T-pee's. I got a glow in the dark bead for find the person of the week. His name was Chief Gray Eagle. We was named of he color of his eyes. He is known for studying the art of war. We also made bead necklaces. The fronts of them said, "Camp Jerimia Johnson". That is the name of the scout camp we went to.

John Bio Doll

This is John bio doll. Since my name came from someone famous, I decided to write my bio assignment on John Stockton. For extra credit, I got to make a bio doll. As you can see he is not real. He is fake. He is made of V8 cans, basketballs, paper, paint ,tape, a sprite bottle, sticks, un-refried beans
, fuzzy head, googley eyes, marker and pipe cleaners for hair!

Awesome!
