I was Baptized on Saturday, August 30th. My Grandpa Dean baptized me. My Uncle Patrick confirmed me. It was a very special day.
Some things I remember.....
Uncle Patrick said in the prayer when he was confirming me, Walk a Godly walk. I hope I can be like my Heavenly Father and remember all the things he has given me. He also said I would be a good example to my parents. I want to always be a good example to everyone.... especially my parents.
When my grandpa was dunking me into the water, it felt warm. But also I was afraid that my hair was going to come up because my hair is so long right now. But he dunked me in deep, so I got it all in one try. One of the kids who was getting baptized with me, Chaz, his foot come up and he had to do it a second time. And, the girl who was baptized with me, Mallory, her dad was deaf. So when her dad said the prayer, he did it in sign language and the person interpreting for him said the prayer. It was pretty cool.
My Grandpa J and my cousin Steve were the witness. The people in the circle when I was confirmed were Uncle Patrick, Grandpa Dean, Brother Stubbs (Bishopric), Jonathan Bond, Steve Sciess, Grandpa J, Brother Jackman (home teacher), and Uncle John.
Niel even got to give a talk on the Holy Ghost. He told a story about when him and his dad went hiking and his dad protected him from a rock slide. The Holy Ghost wants to protect me just like Grandpa J protected Niel when he was little.
It was soooo good to have sooooo many people at my baptism to support me. It was fun! I felt the spirit very strong and knew I made a very good choice.
